Bethlehem’s Excessive Turning Lanes

The most undervalued insight from Jeff Speck’s walkability report on Bethlehem is that there are way too many looong turning lanes. If you got rid of the turning lanes on West Broad Street, you could add dedicated bus lanes and bike lanes. W Broad St needs a serious road diet to become a walkable mixed use retail corridor, and dedicating more of the street space to other transit modes is the way to accomplish that.
