It’s Official: Adam Waldron Wins 4th Bethlehem City Council Seat

Hooray! Bethlehem Council’s progressive majority will now have real governing power. It might be a good strategy to elect Willie Reynolds as Council President, since he was the progressive standard bearer in the Mayor race, and insofar as someone will be the face of Council opposite the Mayor, the symbolism would be fairly potent.

Painting company owner Adam Waldron has apparently beaten deli owner David “Lump” Sanders for the final Bethlehem City Council nomination in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

Waldron bested Sanders by 62 votes — 2,257 to 2,195 — according to unofficial results from both Northampton and Lehigh counties.
