Top Albums of the Year

Trolling one’s own blog is a basic human right, so I’m going to have to interrupt the political blogging with my 10 favorite albums of the year. 2012 was a pretty excellent year for music I like, and it was unusually hard to narrow it down to 10 favorites, so I’ve included an extended list of the top 25.

  1. John says:

I feel bad for your generation… this is the best you got?

Based on a representative sample (my kids listen to some of these bands), nothing here would make any list of the top 500 songs of all time.

  2. John says:

    Cant’ spell Crap without rap.

  3. John says:

    I’m a dad, what can I say!

  4. Tom Coombe says:

Frank Ocean is growing on me. I loved Beach House’s previous album, but haven’t gotten into this one as much.

    • Jon Geeting says:

Yeah this Beach House wasn’t as good as the last. Did you hear Daughn Gibson? DG is the moniker of Josh Martin, who is a Nazareth guy, living out in Carlisle now. He was the drummer in Pearls and Brass, if you liked them.
