In this era of tight budgets, cities are looking for ways to grow their tax bases without asking individual households to contribute more taxes. Here’s the first place they should look. Different kinds of buildings yield different amounts of property tax revenue per acre. Many areas limit residential development to just one house per acre. [...]

The point of political blogging is not that you’ll directly reach so many voters that you’ll shape opinions about elections. The point is that for every couple dozen low-information voters, there’s a *political friend* who people ask who to vote for the week before an election. The point of blogging is to shape the opinions [...]

Is our future as bright as soon-to-be former but already permanently disgraced U.S. Congressman ANTHONY WEINER (Progressive Liberal Democrat – New York)?
I clearly remember the Main Stream Media telling me that this whole WEINER SCANDAL was a Republican Conspiracy…
…so what the hell is going on?!
V. LENIN
Jerkweed Progressive Liberal Democrats doing what they do best — lying right through their teeth?
I know this whole thing is really pissing you off, Jonny-boy, because you know you want to out there scaring Grandma and Grandpa, scaring little children.
You know "Rethuglicans want old people to die and children to eat dog food"…
…but, have no fear What-Am-I-Gettings-From-Big-Government?…
…if you stray from your mission and and go off-course a bit, I will be here to remind you to stay with the centrally-planned message.
You can thank me later, AFTER you become famous.
Remeber Jonny :
If you like your doctor, if you like your health care coverage … Obama says you can keep it!
Progressive Liberal Democrats can be trusted?
Hey IPP, did you see that Anthony Weiner's tax returns are now being questioned? Seems he took over $40k in deductions on a $150k salary. That's pretty large…. And when asked, "no comment." Sure will be interesting to watch that one unfold.
Wonder if Jon is ever going to admit his mistake in backing a liar and cheat like Weiner?
Anon 12:19,
I missed that — but did you see the report that the wealthiest U.S. Congressperson — Progressive Liberal Democrat — NANCY PELOSI's personal wealth has grown 63% in the LAST TWO YEARS?
I would like What-Am-I-Gettings-From-Big-Government? to address THAT!
When he gets the chance between his assaults on "the rich", of course…
I wonder how much money Pelosi made from "tips" that would be considered insider trading in the real world?
After all, Congress exempted itself from compliance with that bothersome law, and Pelosi, in a leadership position, would be in a great position to profit from knowledge.
A truly Independent blog would jump on that issue as being immoral and unethical. A hackjob blog will come up with some excuse.
Which one is it Jon?
