Via MyWestEnd, here’s a nice map of Allentown created by Damien Brown. The point was to show where the different neighborhoods begin and end.

TPM: In an interview with The New Republic, Politico editor-in-chief John Harris admitted that Silver wasn’t one of his lifelines in the 2012 campaign [...] “I admire how he has built a franchise,” Harris said. “I roll my eyes at how he gets up on his high horse quite a lot on different topics.” Jim [...]

Alex Trujillo sounds like a real mensch, and on that level it’s sad to see that his 55-year old business Supermercado Mi Tierra closing up shop. This is ultimately a good thing for the neighborhood though, because C-Town is going to be a decent step up in terms of product selection, and they’re going to [...]

Tom Hartley continues to impress at the Bethlehem Parking Authority. I’m not a big fan of the multi-space meters either because there’s nothing worse than having to stand in line to pay for parking. But BPA’s data does show usage of the Main Street Commons parking deck increased last year, so the multi-space meters haven’t [...]

The point of political blogging is not that you’ll directly reach so many voters that you’ll shape opinions about elections. The point is that for every couple dozen low-information voters, there’s a *political friend* who people ask who to vote for the week before an election. The point of blogging is to shape the opinions [...]

Bad move, then, defending WEINER…
…told you so.
Maybe someday, you will listen up — but I doubt it.
Weiner will be the gift that keeps giving!
Thanks, man.
Hey Genius, these aren't neighborhoods, these are sections of the city.
Allentown's neighborhoods are Jordan Heights, Overlook Park, Old Allentown, Alton Park, Midway Manor, etc.
What you're doing here is akin to eliminating Times Square, Soho, Gramercy Park, etc. as neighborhoods in NYC.
Please stop writing about stuff that you flat don't know.
IPP, I have to admit that I was wrong and you were right.
I really thought that at his core Geeting was a good person, just misguided and inexperienced.
However, his staunch support of Anthony Weiner, including his belief that being a liar and a cheat are traits that are fine in politicians, made me realize the error of my ways.
And the fact that Jon is so comfortable with this slimeball puts his own ethics and morality in question.
Is Geeting just as slimy a dirtbag as Weiner is? Will he lie and cheat, and think nothing of it? I didn't think so before. Now I don't know.

I posted about the very famous BATTLE of LEIPZIG (1813) last night at my FB page…a catastrophic defeat for NAPOLEON BONAPARTE which directly led to his first exile.
I am wondering if Jonny-boy is no different than the French corporal who blew up the last escape bridge across the Elster River precisely at 1 PM on October 19.
Even though a significant force was still in the city of Leipzig fighting the rear-guard, dealying action…and another significant force was actually still on the bridge crossing over the river when the fuse was lit and the massive explosion ensued.
What a blunder!…But it is hard to find fault with the lowly French corporal, who was just carrying out his instructions. The real blame much higher up the chain of command – without question.
In other words — is Jonny-boy just a good solider following orders from his commanders here with this insane defense of disgraced Progressive Liberal Democrat superstar from New York City, ANTHONY WEINER?
Personally, I never bought into the "I am just a political junkie" song and dance…
