Scott Brown comes out against Paul Ryan’s plan to end Medicare, which Charlie Dent favors. Here he is explaining how it will increase premiums for all seniors, including current beneficiaries:
First, I fear that as health inflation rises, the cost of private plans will outgrow the government premium support— and the elderly will be forced to pay ever higher deductibles and co-pays. Protecting those who have been counting on the current system their entire adult lives should be the key principle of reform.
Add Brown to the growing Gingrich/Toomey/McConnell group of Republicans who don’t want to sign the House Republican political suicide pact.
OBAMACARE sucks.
NOBODY wants it.
No wonder it needed to be passed at 3 AM on Christmas Eve.
Thanks, Nancy Pelosi!
We found out what was in it, alright!!!
How many Obamacare waivers have been issued so far — 2,000 or so?
Remember IPP, in Jon's world the $2 billion (by Obama's estimate) in new tax revenues generated to pay for Obamacare over the first 10 years don't count because they'll be paid for by the rich, Wall Street, and farmers.
We also never ever talk about waivers, especially the ones granted to Pelosi's and Reid's districts.
For example, we don't ever bring up that of the 204 waivers granted in April 2011, almost 20%, or 38 of them, were in Pelosi's district.
Now don't you dare think for a minute that there were any shenanigans going on, that this was some sort of political payback or vote buying. Democrats never do that, only Republicans. Democrats, especially Progressive Liberal ones, would never engage in stuff like this. They're too busy stealing land from farmers.
And of course they were done in a fair and open fashion, just like the entire healthcare debate. It just was pure coincidence. Yessirree.
I love Progressive Liberal Democracy!
